"Nearly 50% of healthcare professionals are experiencing psychological distress, including stress, burnout, and anxiety. It's crucial to offer support, tailored to the unique pressures of this demanding profession."
As a registered healthcare professional (HCPC registered operating department practitioner) with almost 15 years of experience across A&E, ICU, Maternity, and Operating Theatres, I have first-hand knowledge of the mental and psychological toll that the working environment can take; especially after working through the challenges of the pandemic. I’ve seen the stress, burnout, and anxiety that many of my colleagues face, and I know how crucial it is to have the right support.
Recent reports highlight that nearly 50% of healthcare professionals have experienced psychological distress, with one in three NHS workers taking time off for mental health-related issues in the past year. Many mental health hubs launched after the COVID-19 pandemic have since closed due to lack of funding, leaving many without vital support.
In addition to my clinical work, I have a decade of experience as a talking therapist, helping people navigate their mental and psychological challenges. I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and MIndfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) as stand-alone interventions or in combination, tailored to the individual’s needs. My goal is to help healthcare professionals manage stress, anxiety, and burnout, whilst providing relief and long-term psychological strategies for continued well-being.

I provide a safe space for you to express your thoughts and emotions, offering compassionate support every step of the way.
Our sessions are personalised to meet your needs, focusing on strategies and techniques that work best for you.

"After dealing with the constant stress and pressure of my job in ICU, I felt completely burnt out and exhausted. The demands were overwhelming, and I struggled to switch off.
Jamie helped me find ways to manage the stress through talking therapy and relaxation techniques. He guided me in challenging negative thoughts, coping better with the pressure, and improving my work-life balance. Over time, I felt less anxious, started sleeping better, and regained the energy I needed to do my job without feeling completely drained. I now feel mentally and physically stronger and more in control of my well-being."
I guarantee a confidential and professional service whilst striving for effective therapy for all clients.
